WOW 5 years Senorita AweSUMO has been an entity. All of the loves to those who continue to support me and those new to the idea of zerowaste who are just starting their journey. The past 10 months have been a joy to be full time study, work and non profit projects, It has been a big fear to step into owning my future as I do now. I am only limited by my imagination and well, its a pretty interesting place in there!!
I never really understood what success looked like, you know when you go to those bank seminars and they ask you what your idea of success is, I couldn't answer that other than financial freedom, that dream continues, but it was also because I didn't know it was actually a feeling not this unobtainable ideal I couldn't comprehend. It feels nice though, its a good feeling, I like it and will happily sit with it for a bit!!
breathe it in, revel in it, roll around and soak in the earthy dew.
breathe, r e l a x.
ahhhh what a comfortable spot, I think i'll just stay here and grow abundance!!
But I do feel like things are just beginning again, I mean look at this pretty new LOGO!!
With huge thanks to Micheal Smith who created this new logo as a 2nd year project. It was exactly what I asked for clean crisp lines. I love that the O is so ROUND and the S is so OPEN! I like its simplicity and strength.
You can find him at email@example.com if your interested in his work.
As a group project they also had to make an advert for my brand, which was a pretty fun project to work with them on. It was a great experience for model Stella Cooper from Aart Model Management and myself as a designer to learn alongside them during shooting. They did a great job of an ambitious project to show the LOVE of nature and the kaitiakitanga that is carried with each piece of clothing that Senorita AweSUMO creates.
There was also a photo shoot that each student had to develop from different pieces of Senorita AweSUMO, shot at the same location as the video in Leith Valley.
He aha te mea nui o te ao
What is the most important thing in the world?
He tangata, he tangata, he tangata
It is the people, it is the people, it is the people
Love and Light to all!!
