It amazes me some days how we get pulled into this system of brokenness, we don't realize it at the time until it has past, but upon reflection we see the gaping holes.
Inherent in this industry is an unobtainable ideal of perfection that the average person will never truly identify with, they will inherently try to become a part of it because of the way the system sells that idea to us. It is ultimately a giant heartbreak because of marketing gimmicks and airbrushing. Until clothing is shown in a realistic light and gives a sense of connection and value there will always be a falseness to it. Finding a connection to the cloth is essential.
I don't do false and I would love to shift that paradigm to one where we come from a space of LOVE for all as the first principal. Where we lift each other up instead of pitting against another. We forgive for our past transgressions as we know we are not perfect and have made mistakes in our past too, we forgive so we can heal and move upwards.
Woman are a force to be reckoned with and at 58% of the total population we hold the majority, but only if we are awake enough to see the hurts, the pains and the need for forgiveness. If we can't start preserving the good things we hold dear to us as humans, how can we shift our thinking into this new space of LOVE?
Woman are also 80% of the garment workers in the fashion industry. Imagine if they had the power to fight back for their rights. What would it take to get BIG NAME brands to pass on the living wage to these humans? instead of profit for a few, we would all live better.
Recently Bangladeshi garment workers have had another issue, waiting to hear if the Bangladesh Accord which keeps them safer at work has been under scrutiny and maybe cancelled and today a reprieve until Jan 21 2019, Lets hope it continues to improve for them.
Starting within ourselves first, nourish our own hearts and bodies, release our anger back to source, so we can lift ourselves out of this old way of functioning and into this new LOVE paradigm.
Having and holding a sense of self amongst the ever distracting and bombarding marketing forced upon us by big corporations is really hard work, and as we search for that sense of who we are, we have to fight against the manipulation from outside sources and hold true to you. Hold it strong, keep it close, identify with your truth.
But what is self truth in such a manipulated and perfect world? It's the ability to acknowledge the past, the pain and the shadow to once again find the light, without light there is no dark, without darkness there is no light, there is a need to unravel the most tightly wound string from within and weave a new story of self, the one you've always dreamed of being, manifest it and claim it as your own.
Use your tools of Love, self care, reflection, meditation, disruption, challenge and nature to enlighten the body back to its true vibration inline with the earths. Search out your own resources, be open to them finding you, in some of the strangest and yet lovely circumstances.
Self awareness is key to understanding where we sit within the worlds sphere and how we can integrate, interrupt, disrupt, redesign and innovate this system into a new paradigm. One that we DO want to clothe us and create "fashion" for its true need, being our closest form of shelter and identity.
Senorita AweSUMO has finally come full circle, a 7 year cycle of growth, After discovering that it takes 1.7 earths for Senorita AweSUMO to exist and that August 1st 2018 is their Earth Overshoot Day I had to ponder if this was all worth it?
